For a while, Hawthorn was more than somewhere I passed through. I lived and worked around the area, and without really noticing, a few cafés began to hold little pieces of my everyday life.

They became my coffee stops, easy lunches and familiar places on ordinary workdays. These are the ones that slowly made this part of Melbourne feel like mine.

109 Power St, Hawthorn VIC 3122

MY GOOGLE RATING · 5/5

I have been here more times than I can count. It always feels welcoming, and the hot chocolate is still one of the best I have had. The bakery treats and brekkie wraps make it an easy, reliable favourite, even when it is busy.

I have been twice and loved the atmosphere both times. It can get busy, but that is part of the energy. The egg and potato roll with an almond hot chocolate was such a comforting little combination.

A place I returned to because the menu gave me plenty to choose from and the food was always good. They also had gluten-free options when I visited, which made ordering feel easy.
